Zimbabwe, a country known for its wildlife and scenic essence — including Victoria Falls, 1 of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World — hosts enough attractions to impress even the most adventurous. With its incredible parks and extensive grasslands, it’s home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including the exalted Big Five game, as well as a people grounded in tradition, hope and resilience.

Its northernmost province is Mashonaland West, centrally located on the country’s upper border. And while it’s not the largest of its provinces, it is arguably the most relevant. Roughly one-sixth of Mashonaland West’s land mass is a protected Safari Area or National Park, and nearly half of that bears the lauded UNESCO World Heritage designation. But human labels aside, the province claims vastly more water resources than any other. Lake Kariba, the largest man-made reservoir in the world, feeds the Zambezi River, the 4th-longest in Africa, and together they form Mashonaland West’s northern border. Even more, the tributaries from each are among Zimbabwe’s most important geographical features. Some shape the western and eastern boundaries of the province and all act as waterways to the country’s thirsty interior.

Cancellation Policy*: If you cancel 36 days or more before the start date of your trip, you’ll get a full refund. If you cancel within 35 days of the start date of your trip, your trip will not be refunded.

Name Change Policy: If you change any name(s) on your booking 30 days or more before the start date of your trip, you’ll be charged a fee of US$50 per name change. Name changes are not permitted within 30 days of the start date of your trip.
